Currently I am only offering couples therapy in a form dubbed Marathon couples therapy, which is an intensive form of Gottman Method couples therapy that takes place over several hours in one day or several days, and gives you and your partner the opportunity to explore issues in a more focused way than is possible in weekly sessions. A great benefit of Marathon couples therapy is that changes in the relationship may be experienced more quickly since it is such an in-depth experience. Following a Marathon session, recommendations will be given about possible next steps, which may include weekly couples sessions, individual therapy sessions, or a range of other possibilities.
If you and your partner are having trouble resolving the same old conflicts, or you can’t seem to connect anymore, or (insert your particular problem here!), it’s an opportune moment to explore what’s happening. I use the framework provided by the Gottman Method to help you and your partner navigate whatever challenges you are facing, usually by working on skills such as conflict negotiation, creating shared meaning, and strengthening friendship.

John Gottman is known as the guy who can predict divorce with over a 90% rate of accuracy. He's taken these insights and others generated by his extensive research (conducted in part with his wife, Julie Gottman) to create a strengths-based form of couples therapy known as the Gottman Method. For more information about the Gottman Method in particular, please visit https://www.gottman.com/about/the-gottman-method/, or pick up one of John and Julie Gottman’s many books.
